Looters target Coney Island after Hurricane Sandy

Looters Target Coney Island After Hurricane Sandy
Taking something that doesn't belong to you might be acceptable in an emergency situation to save a life, but looting after Hurricane Sandy swept through is indefensible. The looter in this image is shown being arrested, because looting is against the law. The people living in Coney Island were in such hysteria after the hurricane that they were stealing flat screen tvs, liquor, food, and anything they could get their hands on. I agree that this man in the image, along with all the other thieves should be arrested, because no matter what conditions you're in, it is not alright to take something that does not belong to you. People in the town were awestruck at the looters boldness to steal "in broad daylight" and "while the cops were standing right outside." I think this boldness that the thieves had was very selfish and wrong of them. It is ridiculous what people will do for themselves to take advantage of someone else's misfortune. There is no argument that makes looting right, and after Hurricane Sandy hit the looters arrested all deserve strong punishment like the man in this image
